Samba Football is here
The Brazil Olympics Football Team landed at Changi Airport Terminal 1 at about 6pm on Wednesday. Besides FAS officials and local and international media personnel, Singaporeans, expatriates and even air stewardesses were present to welcome them.
The team was treated to loud cheers and much camera attention when they appeared at the belt. The crowd went hysterical when the team finally came out walked through the specially-barricaded passageway, as they shouted the players’ names and waved to them.
The crowd followed the team as they made their way to the team bus, shouting and waving to the players as they took their seats in the bus, and only dispersed when the bus drove off.
The team will play against the Singapore Selection Team on Monday 28 July at 8pm at the National Stadium. Singapore Selection squad list and ticket details can be found here.
